Which level sensor is right for you?

A few short questions, and you'll know which version you need.

What do you want to measure?

The medium determines which measuring principle fits.

A liquidRainwater, drinking water, service water A solidPellets, salt, granulate, bulk material

How deep is the container?

Measured from the sensor to the bottom.

Up to 12 metersTypical for rainwater tanks Up to 40 metersDeep wells, silos, large containers

How precise must the measurement be?

Centimeter-accurate is enoughThe typical case for rainwater tanks and wells Millimeter-accurateFor exact inventory management at industrial level

Is there steam, fog, or condensation in the container?

An optical sensor is disturbed by this, radar is not.

No, clear view of the surface Yes, at least sometimesTypical for slurry, liquid manure, or warm service water

What is the container or the lid made of?

Plastic lets Wi-Fi through, concrete dampens it, steel blocks it. What matters is what lies between the sensor and the router: for underground containers, that's the lid.

PlasticContainer and lid made of plastic, above or below ground ConcreteRainwater tank or shaft with a concrete lid, also for plastic tanks Steel or cast ironSteel tank, steel lid, or cast-iron cover

How is the Wi-Fi reception at the installation site?

If you can't measure there, check directly above the open lid. At least 3 out of 4 bars is a good sign.

Good, at least 3 out of 4 barsRouter nearby, clear line of sight Weak or uncertainDeep installation position, router far away

Do you already have an external antenna?

Based on your details about the installation site, we recommend the version with a connector for an external antenna. This means a 2.4 GHz antenna with an RP-SMA connector. If you don't have one yet, we'll include it.

No, please include itAntenna and connector come together Yes, I have oneExisting 2.4 GHz antenna with RP-SMA connector

Do you need a mounting bracket?

Alignment is important: the sensor must point vertically at the medium. A mounting bracket makes this easier and fits most container lids.

Yes, please include it No, I'll mount it myself
