Great idea to combine the 24 GHz sensor with an ESP32 and offer it with a web interface. And then a housing around it that you can also remove if needed: that's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want a Tuya/ZigBee/BLE device. I wanted it on Wi-Fi with enough configuration options at hand. Great idea! (Without CC2.tv, I would have completely missed the device.) I hope Senvolon succeeds with devices like this. I plan to buy more of them soon. If a black housing ever gets printed, please let me know, because I also want to install a sensor under my carport, and the white housing is a bit too conspicuous there. Indoors, the white housing is of course usually better. Even if there's ever a 24 GHz multi-sensor that can "track" multiple objects, I'd happily buy that too. (...unfortunately I built myself an ESP32 with a TF-Mini Plus sensor a year ago. It now reliably checks in my old house whether the wastewater system is clogged or not, otherwise I would have bought this one for that too.) But back to this sensor: it does exactly what it's supposed to, as expected. Great that such a long connection cable was included too. I'm happy to spend money on products like this: it's so professional that I'd rather buy it than spend a lot of time building and programming it myself (usually somewhat worse). Keep it up!

I installed the level sensor in my concrete rainwater tank, so I used the version with an external antenna connector. I replaced the power cable with a slim IP68 connector, since a standard Schuko plug never really seals well and is bulky. The device is protectively insulated anyway, so grounding isn't necessary. I ran the external antenna cable and power through the conduit that already carries the extraction hose and float switch into the basement, where Wi-Fi is also available. There I connected the indoor antenna recommended by Senvolon to the antenna cable. Everything works wonderfully! It's also simple to configure, entirely without a cloud, via its own small HTML interface! MQTT is just as easy, and there are great instructions for it. I integrated the level sensor into ioBroker this way, and now all the values are usable in the smart home. If the device keeps working reliably long-term, I can only sing its praises.

The sensor lives up to its name. It works precisely and is excellently configurable via the transparent web interface. Even with an average IQ, that's manageable. It's remarkable that this is a product from Germany, and you get an answer to every question immediately, in your own language. Comparing this to products from China, buying is super easy, but heaven help you if you ask about details or want to discuss technical problems. Here at SENVOLON, "you will definitely be helped"!

There would have been many ways to measure my rainwater tank's water level. I chose this one, and I was exactly right.
