Can the radar sensor see through walls?
Radar waves can penetrate light materials such as drywall, wood, or glass. This is often an advantage (concealed mounting), but can lead to false triggers. However, in the settings of the Senvolon sensor, you can configure the distance and sensitivity so that it ignores movements behind a wall.
Is radar radiation dangerous?
No. The transmitting power of our sensors is far below that of a conventional Wi-Fi router or smartphone and is absolutely harmless to humans and animals.
How is the presence detector powered?
To ensure continuous radar measurement and a latency-free Wi-Fi connection, the sensor requires a permanent power supply (usually USB-C).
